As a resident of the city of Headland,which I am proud to call this city my home. I retired from the USAF with 22 years of honorable service, attended 2 years at Wallace Community College in Dothan, worked in helicopter maintenance and electric systems at Fort Rucker, Liccense # 5149089, participated in IAMW, am a member of two professional associations, an active member of the National Baptist Conventional of America, a Deacon at Greater Shiloh Missionary Baptist Church and Chairman of the Trustee Board.
I would like to give the citizens of Headland a positive candidate that will help and get involve in our whole community. I have been very involved in the city government for over eight years. I believe my military experience will be crucial to upcoming decisions that will be concerns for the Headland community. My church affiliation have prepared me to execute a vision of
leadership, visibility to better serve and support this progressive city.
In conclusion, I believe that working with the citizens in District One is a very important job that work and life experience are key to successful decision making. I know that when citizens show up for council meeting with something to say, they not only want to be heard but know that their concerns don't fall on deaf ears. The citizens of Headland is our past, present, and our future.
District Two Council Representative Jody Singleton is in his second term. A graduate of Headland High School and Troy State University, he is a CPA, owning his own business while being involved with several different private and joint ventures. He and wife, Amy, have three children, Hunter, Caroline and Caitlin.
District Three Council Representative Chris Weed has worked with Kelly Seed Company for twenty three years. Chris has served on the boards of several professional organizations and currently serves on the Staff-Parish Relations Committee at his church. Chris and his wife, Shawn, are parents to their daughter, Connor. Chris, Shawn, and Connor dearly love Headland and are proud to call it home and to promote Headland's growth and prosperity. Chris looks forward to representing and assisting all citizens in District Three.
Born and raised in Headland, Joe attended Auburn University where he received his bachelor of science degree. He owns his own crop insurance company and is also employed by James Grant Realty. He and his wife, Kimberly, have two girls: Caitlin and Hannah Grace. Falkner ran for office in order to serve the people of his district and the citizens of the city that he loved so much. It is his belief city government should be transparent and open as it is the people who are at the heart of the council's agenda.
District Five Council Representative Kendrick L. Spurling is in his second term. A maintenance/construction worker with the City of Dothan, he is also owner of Spurling Construction, Brick and Concrete. A graduate of Headland High, he also attended the Newville Area Vocational Center. His wife’s name is LaFrancis..
