The council approved the purchase of new mobile tablet equipment for city police cars. The Headland department is among the first in the state to be getting such devices.

An ordinance was adopted supporting a severe weather prepared tax holiday. It will allow for the purchase of items dealing with weather preparations and will take place the last weekend of February.

Mayor Ray Marler said the paving project on South Main Street should get underway in 30-40 days.
